SNKRBible
Project Type - Web & Product Design
Role - Branding, UI/UX, Product Designer
Tools - Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
Duration - 12 Weeks
SNKRBible was conceived as a comprehensive platform for learning about, exploring, and shopping for sneakers and street fashion. It allowed users to earn points and redeem them for purchases. This project served as my final studio project at Red River Polytech, where I studied Interaction Design and Web Development.
Challenges
As this was the first project of its kind in this segment, I needed to outline the treatment and reward system, and how to achieve that. My scope of work included creating the entire website, establishing the brand name, identity, look and feel of the product, and devising monetization strategies. I also designed the user login process and the dashboard for their accounts, ensuring seamless e-commerce functionality. With a focus on new users and those unfamiliar with the product, I aimed to design a UI and UX that was both intuitive and straightforward.
What I accomplished
Tasked with designing and conducting user research and interviews at each project stage, Bart excels in maintaining simplicity, which ensures user and audience retention. He has developed a distinctive style that embodies the brand’s voice, making it instantly recognizable and self-explanatory. His design of the Wordmark brand identity accurately represents the product’s essence. Opting for a blog-style guide and an editorial magazine-style web appearance, Bart’s approach results in a premium, minimalistic look enhanced by vibrant accent colors.
In conclusion
To ensure a brand’s voice and ethos resonate through its product, thorough research and a solid understanding of design principles are essential. I’ve crafted designs that are minimal, modern, and practical, allowing the brand to shine through while maintaining accessibility for a diverse audience.
